Tucker’s Point Whale Watching Excursions with Tucker’s Point Dive and Water Sports Centre

Meet at the Tucker’s Point Dive Shop and Water Sports Centre to embark on an excursion to look for humpback whales every Saturday throughout March and April, weather permitting.

The trip may run until 5:00pm if the whales are not spotted until later. Bring a packed lunch, warm clothes, camera, sunscreen and anything you may need for a day on the water. Tucker’s Point Dive Shop supplies bottled water, coffee/tea and plenty of fun.

Admission: $80 per person. Reservations must be secured in advance with a valid credit card. Reservations cancelled within 24 hours forfeit full cost of excursion.

March and April is whale watching season in Bermuda. Join Fantasea Bermuda Ltd’s veteran whale watching crew for a safe and respectful observation of the incredible Humpback Whales on their migration North to the Arctic’s rich feeding grounds. This is a chance of a lifetime to see whales frolic on the surface and occasionally leap into the air. You can get up close and look at these awe inspiring creatures in their natural habitat. Fantasea Bermuda Ltd is dedicated to responsible wildlife viewing and adhere to internationally recognized whale watching guidelines and best practices.

Tour length can vary depending on the location and activity level of the whales. 20th Annual Open Calcutta Tennis Tournament
March 8-11, Coral Beach & Tennis Club, 34 South Road, Paget

This event has been designed to encourage participation by players of all levels of ability. Individual applicants are paired with partners by means of a random draw such that weaker players are teamed with stronger players, and vice-versa. All matches, except the finals, are an 8-game pro-set with a tie-breaker at 7-all. Finals are best of three sets.

Sandys 360’s 2nd Annual Wet N Wild Corporate & Community Challenge

15th Annual Ladies' Pro-Am Golf Classic

The Pompano Beach Club is host to the 15th Annual Ladies Pro-Am Golf Classic. The event is limited to a maximum of eighteen teams consisting of one lady golf professional and three lady amateurs.

All tournament golf rounds played at the Robert Trent Jones designed Port Royal Golf Course, located adjacent to the resort. The event consists of 72 holes of golf featuring a 54-hole Ladies Pro-Am Golf Tournament, 18-hole Amateur Best Ball fun day competition and an 18-hole Professional Championship. Bermuda International Film Festival
March 16 - 22, Liberty Theatre, Union Square, City of Hamilton

In celebration of international independent film, as well as home-grown filmmaking talent, the 15th edition of the Bermuda International Film Festival (BIFF) will take place in the City of Hamilton.

During the seven days of the festival, over 80 films will be screened. The film programme will centre around the crowd-pleasing World Cinema line-up, featuring heavy-hitters and winners from high-profile film festivals around the world, such as Cannes and Sundance. The Competition Shorts will be a clear highlight as BIFF is recognised as a qualifying film festival for the Short Film Academy Award. The schedule will also include a late-night After Hours strand and several country-specific showcases. Special opening and closing night presentations will take place.

To keep film fans busy in between screenings, there will be a full and varied entertainment programme during BIFF 2012. BIFF will host lunchtime panel discussions with experts from the film industry and a dedicated Social Hub will be open all week for enthusiasts to mingle after films for a little healthy deconstruction and debate, or simply enjoy some refreshments. The festival will open and close with glamorous Unwrap and Wrap parties.

Tickets go on sale March 7 2012, at which time the film schedule will be released.

Fairmont to Fairmont Race
Fairmont Hamilton Princess, 76 Pitts Bay Road, Pembroke
January 8, 8:30am and 9:00am
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Bermuda announces the 35th Annual Fairmont to Fairmont road race. The event includes a 7.2-mile race that spans the distance between the Fairmont Hamilton Princess in Pembroke Parish and The Fairmont Southampton in Southampton Parish, and a Juniors 3K race.
The Adults' race starts at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess at 9:00am.
The Juniors' race starts at the Heron Bay Marketplace on Middle Road, Southampton at 8:30am. Awards go to 1st, 2nd & 3rd Boy and Girl in age groups 8 - 10, 11 - 12 and 13 - 15.
Registration closing date is: January 6 at 11:55pm.
Race Numbers: should be collected on Saturday, January 7, 12:00pm to 2:00pm at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess. Late entries accepted on Saturday at number pick-up. No late entries on race day.
Draw prize for all participants: two American Airline flights and stay at Fairmont Mayakoba, Mexico. A Celebration Breakfast will be held after the event in recognition of the 35th anniversary of the event.
Entry fee: TBA A portion of every entry fee will be donated to charity.

The sixth annual 'Just for Laughs Bermuda' will once again feature host Alonzo Bodden and local comedian Jonathan Young alongside Canadian Derek Edwards and American Ryan Hamilton and more!
Wednesday – show starts at 8:00pm. The first and only show at City Hall runs for 1 hour 15 minutes with no bar service or intermission.
The remaining shows are all held at the Mid Ocean Amphitheatre at the Fairmont Southampton resort.
Thursday – show starts at 8:00pm. Seating is cabaret style with round tables of four, six or ten. Drinks and finger food served at your table.
Friday – show starts at 8:30pm. Seating is theatre style.
Saturday – 2 shows at 7:00pm and 10:00pm. Seating is theatre style.

Bermuda Marathon Weekend

Set against a backdrop of pastel coloured buildings, lush greenery and tropical blue water, the Bermuda Marathon Weekend is the perfect destination event. Spread over three days and featuring a series of mile races, a 10K, a half and full marathon and the popular Bermuda Triangle Challenge, race weekend just keeps on going.
Participants can choose to run just one or two races and for some the Bermuda Triangle Challenge, three races in three days, will provide an unforgettable experience.
